DevOps Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ.

Duration: 8 Months+

Experience: 7+ yrs.

 

Skills: Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Docker, Chef

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working with application development teams to enhance the lifecycle of services from design to deployment and operation.
• Consult on the topics of system design, capacity planning and platform management
• Develop software and systems architectural frameworks and tooling
• Create scalable systems and services through continuous automation
• Monitor availability, latency and overall system health

 

Skills and Experiences:

• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments with an advanced knowledge of automation/scripting of tasks
• Experience with production deployment and release management
• Strong troubleshooting skills when it comes to applications
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Perl, C++, C, Java, etc.)
• Familiarity with open source automation/configuration managements tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack
• Knowledge of at least one database product (PostgreSQL, MSQL, DB2, etc.)
